APC Plateau State Celebrates Simon Lalong's Ministerial Nomination

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Plateau State has celebrated Simon Lalong, the state's immediate past governor, over his nomination as a minister. The nomination was made by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Lalong's name, along with 18 others, was forwarded to the Senate by Presidential Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila.

The president had earlier released the list of 28 prospective ministers who had already been screened and confirmed. The APC chairperson in Plateau State, Hon. Rufus Bature, welcomed the nomination, tagging it as "well-deserved". Bature credited Lalong's nomination to his hard work, determination, consistency, resilience, and loyalty.

He asserted that the choice of the former governor, who also leads the party in the state, instills pride and joy in the APC. He lauded Lalong for enduring against all odds and serving as the Director General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, leading to the remarkable victory of President Tinubu and Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima.

APC has expressed appreciation to President Tinubu for this selection and assures him that Lalong, with his commendable track record, will undoubtedly be a valuable addition to the Federal Executive Council. Bature expressed confidence in Lalong's swift clearance by the Senate in the ongoing screening exercise.
