  The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Plateau State has celebrated Simon Lalong, the state's immediate past governor, over his nomination as a minister. The nomination was made by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Lalong's name, along with 18 others, was forwarded to the Senate by Presidential Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila.  The president had earlier released the list of 28 prospective ministers who had already been screened and confirmed. Menace of Keke Napep

      Tricycles, commonly known as “keke” is propelled by an electric or internal combustion engine. It is a motorized three-wheeled vehicle for transporting two to four passengers per trip. The history of Keke can be traced directly back to the government of Mohammed Buba Marwa who was the military governor of Lagos state from 1966 to 1999. He first launched the use of tricycle as a means of commercial transportation in Lagos.       The word “keke” is directly derived from Yoruba language. However, thepopularity of keke across the nation can be attributed to the national poverty eradication programme NAPEP which was inaugurated under the administration of former president Olusegun Obasanjo to alleviate poverty and provide economic empowerment to the people. Winrock/USAID Partners with FCAHPT on Sustainable Agriculture

  Winrock International, a group dedicated to sustainable agriculture and rural development, in partnership with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), recently held a one-day interactive forum with the College Of Animal Health and Production Health Technology (FCAHPT).       According to the organization's Country Director, Mike Bassey, the initiative provides free technical assistance to farmers, agric businesses, and education providers in developing countries to foster sustainable sectoral advancement.  "The forum formed part of the wrap-up events for the five-year Farmer-to-Farmer program which commenced in October 2018.
